Photo of the Day - Key West marina at dusk

Key West is full of interesting photo possibilities, from the old fort to the unusual architecture, the plants, chickens, and boats. This shot at dusk, with a hint of sunset color, looks restful, but also holds a hint of the adventure of the sea. Again, two of my favorite subjects, sky and water.

I wish I had known you were going to Key West. My girlfriend, my brother and I went down there last May and we found this great little local resturant away from all the commercial stuff. It was in the middle of the shrimp harbor, and they served some really, really, really good seafood. There was a dog that was walking around keeping us and the rest of the people in the resturant company. Key Largo is also a great place to go. Another recommendation; right north of Orlando there is Blue Springs State Park, where there is currenty ALOT of Manatees. Amazing creaturs.

We went to Key West a couple of years ago, and that photo of the boats at sunset was taken December 31, 2004. We were there four days and very much enjoyed it. We'd like to go back, and if we do, I'll have to find the restaurant you wrote about. We haven't been to Blue Springs State Park but I'll put that on our list of Florida trips. I want to get to Myakka River State Park near Sarasota. There is a "canopy walk" there that sounds fascinating.
